About John
Bio
Born and raised in the Baltimore area. I graduated from Loyola High School and tried many art oriented careers. I graduated from MICA with a BFA in Art Education and Fine Arts. In the years that followed, I got my Masters Equivalency from MICA, Trinity College. and the Chicago Institute of Art, Chicago, with 60 Post Grad credit Hours of summer studio in Contemporary Art. My teaching career spanned
Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties. For twenty years I served as Chairperson at Meade Senior High School. A most productive and enjoyable two decades.
My Medium
Most of my work is oil paint on canvas but, when necessary, I will use acrylic paint, colored chalks, colored markers or pencils on a variety of surfaces.
My Inspiration
Just look at my art. Ideas come from everywhere. The key is to pay attention.
